EODESM training course at Gran Paradiso National Park

Gran Paradiso National Park., 4-7 September 2018

ran Paradiso National Park successfully organised a training course on the use of EODESM (Earth Observation Data for Ecosystem Monitoring), the web-based system aimed to automatic land cover classification from Remote Sensing data, based on the FAO classification system.  The course has been taught by the ECOPOTENTIAL researcher prof. Richard Lucas.

The course was aimed to train on the use of the EODESM system the Gran Paradiso technical staff, and it was based on hands-on training + one field trip for testing the EODESM mobile app for on-site land cover classification, which can also be used for “ground-trouthing” the satellite-based classification.
