ECOPOTENTIAL Remote Sensing Training Week for Protected Areas applications

19 – 23 February 2018, Pisa (IT)

The ECOPOTENTIAL Remote Sensing Training Week will take place from 19 to 23 February 2018 in Pisa, Italy. This training is intended for Protected Areas technical staff working in the field. Following the request of the technical staff members present at the S. Rossore meeting in May 2017, organizing a training course will be focused on the use of Remote Sensing Data and In-situ information, on the use of ECOPOTENTIAL-related data portals and of ecological models.

The training course will be host by the Institute of Geosciences and Earth Resources (CNR-IGG). The course will start on Monday 19 and will be organized as follows:

  • Monday, Feb. 19th: Remote sensing (principles/basics and geoprocessing tools)
  • Tuesday, Feb. 20th: Remote sensing (principles/basics and geoprocessing tools)
  • Wednesday, Feb. 21st EODESM Modelling; Remote Sensing modelling
  • Thursday, Feb. 22nd DEIMS and in-situ data; Remote Sensing modelling
  • Friday, Feb. 23rd Virtual Lab Platform
