27 – 30 March 2018, Klaipėda, Lithuania
The 18th Conference of Goose Specialist Group will take place on 27 – 30 March 2018 in Klaipėda, Lithuania. The event will be hosted by the Klaipeda University and Baltic Valley, on behalf of the Goose Specialist Group. The conference program will include three days of plenary talks by leading goose experts, oral and poster presentations, symposia and round tables.
Mid-conference excursion will be organized to Nemunas River delta, which is one of the most important staging area for geese on migration route from Western Europe towards the Russian Arctic.
Conference attendance grants are available.
Participants are invited to submit their contributions from the following topics related to geese:
- Migration, reproduction and wintering ecology
- Species interactions, population dynamics and management
- Eco-physiology, diseases
- Impact of global change and anthropogenic activities.
Deadline for abstract submissions is 15 November 2017.
